SORBIONEX™ is a new analytical platform for rapid, field-ready and lab-compatible detection of critical raw materials and gold using ion-selective sorbent-based sample preparation and portable XRF.

The new method is developed by MEFFA Lab Oy in cooperation with Alzymologist Oy and Elvatech Canada Ltd. 

The first results from the analysis of gold ore samples with varying grades and matrices, provided by Mineral Exploration Network (Finland) Ltd, show good correlation with previous fire assay results performed by ALS. The original SORBEX-Au resin was used as the sorbent, and analysis was carried out using the ProspectOre 3 XRF instrument by Elvatech
